Local UG Entry Scholarship Guidelines 2013

    西交利物浦大學（XJTLU）是經(jīng)中國教育部正式批準，由西安交通大學和英國利物浦大學強強聯(lián)合，在蘇州工業(yè)園區(qū)合作創(chuàng)辦的一所以理、工、管起步，具有獨立法人資格的中外合作大學。大學面向全國在本科第一批次招生。為了吸引優(yōu)秀學子，激勵學生努力學習，西交利物浦大學特設立獎學金計劃：2013 年高考成績特別優(yōu)異者，可以申請“新生入獎學金”。

    Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is an independent international university jointly created by Xi’an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool upon official approval from the Ministry of Education. XJTLU recruits first-tier students in the mainland of China. In order to attract excellent students and encourage them to work hard, XJTLU sets up entry scholarships for 2013 intake. Students who achieve extremely well in Gaokao (National Entrance Examination) are entitled to apply for the Entry Scholarships.

一、 2013 年新生入學獎學金種類

Types of Entry Scholarships 2013

1. 一等入學獎學金：人民幣 6.6 萬元

1.st Class Entry Scholarship: RMB 66,000

2. 二等入學獎學金：人民幣 3.3 萬元

2.nd Class Entry Scholarship: RMB 33,000

二、 新生入學獎學金申請條件

Application Requirements for Entry Scholarships

· 2013 年入學的學生，高考成績特別優(yōu)異者可以申請新生入學獎學金。

Students of 2013 intake who achieve extremely well in Gaokao (National Entrance Examination) are qualified to apply for the Entry Scholarship.
· 在高考總分以 750 分為滿分的省、市、自治區(qū)，考生實際高考成績（不含各種獎勵性或政策性加分的裸分）高出一本線 80 分及以上者，可以申請一等入學獎學金。考生實際高考成績（不含各種獎勵性或政策性加分的裸分）高出一本線60 分及以上者，可以申請二等入學獎學金。其它高考總分不是 750 分的省、市、自治區(qū)按照 750 分進行換算。

In provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions where 750 is the maximum score, to be eligible to apply for the 1 st Class Entry Scholarship, the candidates must have attained at least 80 marks above the first tier line of Gaokao in their respective provinces. To be eligible to apply for the 2 nd Class Entry Scholarship, the candidates must have attained at least 60 marks above the first tier line of Gaokao in their respective provinces. In other provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions where the maximum score is not 750, the criteria shall be calculated accordingly based on 750.

注：以上的高考總分僅作為歷年各省高考總分的參考，若有變化以當年各省考試院公布的總分為準，入學獎學金申請條件按相應比例進行調整。

Note: Above-mentioned full scores in different provinces or areas are just for your reference. Entry scholarship application requirements shall be based on the related rate as the maximum score may be subject to change.

· 在采用非平行志愿填報方式的省、市、自治區(qū)，只有第一志愿填報我校的考生才有資格申請新生入學獎學金，在第二志愿填報我校的學生不能申請入學獎學金；在采用平行志愿填報方式的省、市、自治區(qū)，在征集志愿報考我校的學生不能申請入學獎學金。

In provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions where parallel application approach of admissions wishes isn’t used, candidates who take XJTLU as their second choice are not qualified to apply for the Entry Scholarships. Besides in provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions where parallel application approach of admissions wishes is used, candidates 

who select XJTLU in recollecting admission wishes are also not qualified to apply for the Entry Scholarships.

三、 新生入學獎學金申請程序

Application Procedures for Entry Scholarships

學生可以選擇在入學之前或者入學之后申請新生入學獎學金。

Candidates can apply for the entry scholarships before or after entry into XJTLU.

申請者在線提交新生入學獎學金申請，西交利物浦大學獎學金評定委員會將組織對新生入學獎學金申請者進行面試，面試合格者可以獲得相應的新生入學獎學金。

Candidates shall submit online application. XJTLU Scholarship Panel will interview  the candidates. Successful candidates will be awarded the Entry Scholarships after the interview.

四、 新生入學獎學金續(xù)得條件

Requirements on Continuation of Entry Scholarships

2013 年新生入學獎學金可以續(xù)得，續(xù)得條件如下：

The Entry Scholarships 2013 can be continued when following requirements are

a. 學生在校期間無重大違紀事件；Page 4

No vital violations of the University disciplines and regulations during his/her study at XJTLU;

b. 學生在校每年各科課程平均成績排名需在本年級本專業(yè)前 25%以內；

In each academic year during his/her study at XJTLU, the average score of all courses should rank top 25% among all the students on the same academic programme;

c. 以上情況如有違反，則視為自動放棄入學獎學金。如果獲獎學生選擇 2+2 出國留學，則其在英國利物浦大學的兩年將不再享受西交利物浦大學的入學獎學金。

Failure to meet above-mentioned requirements or transferring to the University of Liverpool with 2+2 articulation route will result in termination of the Entry Scholarship.
